Sometimes, no matter how hard they try to get to the bottom of a workplace conflict it is difficult for line managers and HR practitioners to see the wood for the trees. Even though they are aware that an issue is taking place, they are unable to find out exactly what is going on. And, if they can’t find out what’s going on, they have little-to-no chance of resolving it.
Hoping it resolves itself is almost never an option. Left unchecked, workplace conflict has an unfortunate habit of growing much worse and can negatively affect everything from productivity to staff morale.
